I like to think that I am a pretty sane individual. Well, relatively speaking, of course. Angelfish is generally pretty well-put together in that regard as well. We do a good job of planning an appropriate amount of activities, but we don’t generally over schedule our days. Until Saturday. On Saturday, we over exerted ourselves by just a little bit. It was fun, but it was a busy day.
Guppy turned 7 in August. However, because her birthday falls at a time when most of her friends go on vacation, we decided to have her party in September. So on a recent Sunday morning, we had 18 boys and girls over to our house at 10 in the morning. Oh, dear God, why?

Slowly but surely (and with a few technical hiccups), Guppy and I are watching Star Wars (Machete order, ignoring Episode 1 for now). It is a little strange for her to watch the movies though because it is not her first exposure to the series. She plays Star Wars with her friends at school, who have told her the stories. The other night, she bought Star Wars Stories in Five Minutes from the bookstore. She knows what is going to happen (at least in broad strokes). Continue reading Guppy and Star Wars
Angelfish left for work, and I took care of the kids. That’s not unusual; we’ve done it before. This time, however, I took two days off to spend with them. I was supposed to relax, enjoy my kids, and not do any work. I kept a running log of my thoughts. This my log from Friday.
