A couple of weeks ago, I learned that a woman, Mary, that I knew when I lived in Williamsburg, VA, had died. She wasn’t on Facebook, so I hadn’t heard from her in a while, but hearing that she had passed was a great loss, not just for me, but for so many people. Mary was one of those women who seemed to have one goal – to make everyone around her happier. She took joy in the world around her and she passed it along to others. She, quietly and without asking for anything in return, gave of herself to make everyone else better. It made me think a bit about my own life. Continue reading Friends When You Need Them
